Mel Gibson is divorcing after the 28 years of wedlock - in today's terms that is around 284 times longer than the usual Hollywood marriages - 28 years!
Divorcing in the state of California states that marital assets are divided in half and what with the Passion of Christ alone being a $600m plus earner, his wife won't have to worry too much, and rumours are that it will be quick and expense!
Fingers crossed it can be a quick and painless divorce especially as they have seven children one being as young as ten.
Russian starlet Oksana Pochepa aged 24 is claiming to be the mystery woman surrounding the Gibson's split.
Was it any coincidence that Mel's wife Robyn filed papers on Good Friday - Happy Easter.
